BAE Systems says completes Armor takeover

(Reuters) - "The acquisition expands the company's business in the United States and strengthens BAE Systems' position as one of the world's leading land systems businesses," BAE said in a statement to the London Stock Exchange.



BAE announced the transaction valued at $4.53 billion on May 7. Armor makes wheeled military vehicles and vehicle and individual armour systems.

Archeus hedge fund sues GlobeOp over fund's demise

(Reuters) - The suit could dampen investor enthusiasm for GlobeOp's
pending initial public offering. GlobeOp disclosed June 15 that
it plans to raise 52 million pounds in a listing
on the London Stock Exchange.




"GlobeOp acted with reckless indifference to the rights of
Archeus, the Animi Funds and their investors in a manner that
smacked of intentional wrongdoing," Archeus said in its
lawsuit.

LSE CEO expects shareholder backing for Milan deal

(Reuters) - BRUSSELS, June 27 - Shareholders in the London Stock Exchange are expected to support the bourse's decision to buy Milan-based Borsa Italiana, LSE Chief Executive Clara Furse said on Wednesday.



"We expect shareholders to support this transaction," Furse told Reuters.

European Stocks Decline; France Telecom, LSE, Akzo Nobel Shares Slide

(Bloomberg) -- European stocks dropped for a third
day, led by France Telecom SA as the French government sells as
much as 3.8 billion euros ($5.1 billion) of the nation's largest
phone company.

London Stock Exchange Group Plc, which agreed to buy Borsa
Italiana SpA on June 23 for 1.63 billion euros ($2.2 billion),
paced the decline after the bourse was put on review by Moody's
Investors Services for a possible downgrade of its debt rating.
